Interestingly, the need for a coherent concept in MBO's pursuits has come to the fore. What was the ontology of an abiding audiovisual interest in astronomical objects, architectural details, abstracted LEGOs, books (including text), esoterica, history, sci-tech experimentation, microscopy, and geometry? In a self-assessing reading, simply the attempt to define a personal four dimensional space-time, a cognitive shelter against transience, mortality, and ignorance of the beauty of natural and man-made "cosmos".
In the end, the MBO project avoids fictions, pursues no absolutes but follows where tinkering and "exploration for explorations" sake will lead. Exhaust all spatial definitions. Find the aesthetics in pushing my ability to define my own spatial/mechanical/audiovisual space and observe all. Make, make, make to allow the aura of each aspect of this exploration to soak into the weave of the total. The beauty has no teleology but its own manifestation and the aesthetics inherent therein.
